Our Story
We started our journey in May 2014 with our shop and a small wholesale clientele and a dream of producing high quality products and expanding our clientele. That dream has flourished, collecting a multitude of awards along the way, employing passionate local people and currently wholesaling and delivering our products to over 40 local businesses in Tailem Bend and the wider communities.
Tailem Bend Bakery is a small family owned bakery, based in the main street Tailem Bend. We are 100% local owned and operated and pride our self in providing high quality products to our local communities.
Our products are freshly baked on the premises using only the freshest, finest and top quality local ingredients in our products so exceptional flavour is in every bite. We pride our self in sourcing the majority of our ingredients locally; our meat is from the local butcher and sourced locally, we make the majority of our products from scratch using flour milled from majority locally sourced grains, the majority of the vegetables are sourced from local businesses which they get from local markets and then prepared by our staff, the eggs we use are all free range and we use only fresh cream in all of our products.
We are primarily a traditional bakery and hand craft our products. Our products are not mass factory produced.
We strive for excellence, make all our products with love and a keen eye for detail and bake to perfection.
Our success within an already established local bakery industry has been a challenging journey and has come from not only a lot of hard work and perseverance, but also public awareness and local community support with word of mouth of our quality products.
